01 — A connected process
The project does not end when it reaches the council.
A planning application responds to the requirements of the reviewing authority. Construction, however, needs more detailed decisions about build-ups, materials, coordination and quantities.
At ARQE, these stages are designed as a continuous process. You may commission only the planning phase or retain the same coordination through construction documentation, contractor consultation and site support.

Before starting a project.
Can ARQE provide only the planning application?+
Yes. The service may cover only the stages required for the planning process. If you wish, it can later continue with engineering coordination, construction documentation, supervision or construction.
Is construction documentation required by the council?+
It is not always part of the planning procedure, but it is the stage that develops the information needed to consult contractors and build with greater clarity.
Is planning approval guaranteed?+
No. The decision belongs to the relevant authorities. ARQE assesses the framework, prepares the application and follows the review, but cannot promise a decision it does not control.
Where does ARQE work?+
We are based in Seixal and prioritise Almada, Sesimbra, Barreiro, Montijo, Setúbal and Lisbon. We also assess projects elsewhere according to scope.
